Nigeria's Cassava does not have a complexity problem. It has a scale problem.

The crop itself is forgiving, it tolerates poor soil, irregular rainfall, and months of neglect in ways that most crops cannot. That forgiving nature is exactly why it became Nigeria’s most widely grown crop. It is also exactly why most operations never mechanise. If cassava grows anyway, why invest in the infrastructure to grow it properly?

The answer shows up at scale. Below 10 hectares, manual farming is workable. Above it, the economics turn against you quietly and then all at once. Labour costs compound across every operation land preparation, planting, weed management, harvest. Harvest timing becomes critical and nearly impossible to coordinate manually at scale: cassava left in the ground beyond its optimal window loses starch content, and with it, market value. Planting density and row consistency the variables that determine yield per hectare cannot be maintained by hand across 50 or 100 hectares without the kind of labour force that no longer exists at the price it used to.

Mechanisation does not change what cassava is. It changes what cassava farming can return per hectare, per cycle, per naira invested in the land.

The cassava operations supplying flour mills, starch processors and export markets are not doing it manually.

End-to-End Mechanization for Large-Scale Cassava

Land Preparation

Tractor-powered deep ploughing, ridging and bed preparation optimised for cassava root development and mechanised harvesting access.

Mechanised Planting

Stem-cutting planting equipment that maintains consistent spacing, planting depth and row alignment critical for uniform growth and mechanised harvesting.

Drip Irrigation Integration

Precision irrigation across the cassava field maintaining soil moisture during dry season and removing the single biggest yield risk for large-scale operations.

Harvesting & Processing Infrastructure

Mechanised harvesting equipment and on-site processing infrastructure reducing post-harvest losses and improving speed-to-market.

Frequently Asked Questions

We support cassava farming from smallholder plots of 1–10 hectares to large commercial plantations of 100 hectares and above. Every system is designed to maximise yield per hectare, reduce input waste, and match your production goals regardless of scale.

Both. We supply tractors, tillage implements, planting and harvesting equipment, fertiliser applicators, and irrigation systems and we handle full installation and operator training. One company for equipment, infrastructure, and the knowledge to run it all correctly.

Drip irrigation can increase cassava yields by 30–60% compared to rainfed farming, while enabling year-round production with multiple cycles annually. It also improves root development, reduces water consumption by up to 50%, and increases fertiliser efficiency through fertigation, typically paying for itself within the first few production seasons.

Yes. We support the full cassava value chain from washing, peeling, and grating to pressing, drying, and packaging. Whether you are producing garri, flour, starch, or ethanol feedstock, we help you build processing infrastructure that matches your farm’s output scale and target market.

We provide hands-on, on-site training covering equipment operation, safety protocols, routine maintenance, fault identification, irrigation management, and record keeping. Refresher training is available as your team grows or new equipment is added. Well-trained operators protect your investment, we make sure yours are ready from day one.
